As an employee of LochlynTorey you can be confident your payroll will be run accurately and efficiently. Set up is quick and simple, everything can be done online with just an email address and you don’t have to print anything out unless you want to. Alternatively if you would prefer we can post out anything you need.

We understand changing assignments is part of subcontracting, and if we don’t already work with a particular agency we’ll get in touch and try to start working with them as a new supplier. This way we can help provide continuity and save you regularly registering with new agencies.

Tax and National Insurance Contributions (NICs)

Lochlyn Torey will calculate and deduct the right amount of tax and NICs each time you get paid. This means that if your only income is from us there’s no need to complete a self-assessment tax return and all of your payments to HMRC will be up to date.


Those earning more than ten thousand pounds per year and aged between 22 and state pension age (SPA) will be automatically enrolled into our pension scheme after three months with us. The scheme is managed by NEST and can be taken to other employers if you leave us.

You can also opt out of pension contributions if you prefer.

Statutory payments

Employees of Lochlyn Torey can qualify for certain payments including sick pay, maternity and paternity pay. There’s a qualifying period and sometimes a form to complete, but our expert team will provide you with all the information when you need to benefit from these.

CIS Payroll

As a CIS sub-contractor you’ll know how working on temporary assignments can be confusing, joining Lochlyn Torey will help make it easier. Registration is simple and our expert team will provide continued support to ensure your contracting experience is as simple and stress free as possible.

So what is IR35?

Put very simply, IR35 is a piece of legislation designed to eliminate the avoidance of tax and National Insurance Contributions through the use of Intermediaries, such as Personal Service Companies or Partnerships, in circumstances where an individual worker would otherwise, for tax purposes, be regarded as an employee of the client.
